WHAT I TRIED

Kimchi Pancake ★★★☆☆
This was the dish I was most excited to try. The texture was perfectly crisp with a soft poached egg on top, but I wished the kimchi flavor was stronger and more fermented, as the pancake tasted more doughy than distinctly kimchi-forward.

Garlic Grilled Chicken ★★★★☆
It looked dry at first, but the chicken was surprisingly moist and smoky, with a bold garlic flavor. The sweet garlic-peanut crumb on top added a nice contrast and brought out the flavor of the chicken, while the sesame-oil dressed salad was simple and unremarkable.

Banchan (Side Dishes) ★☆☆☆☆
The side dishes were unfortunately the biggest disappointment of the meal. The steamed egg was too salty and heavy on sesame oil, the fish cake had an unpleasant fishy taste, the bok choy was bland, and the kimchi was overly sweet and tasted more like sugar and MSG than kimchi.

Hallabong Spritz ★★★☆☆ & Mint Garden ★★★★★
The Hallabong Spritz had a pleasant sweetness, but the flavor leaned more toward artificial syrup than fresh Hallabong. Mint Garden was the standout drink and an absolute must-try—the bold sesame leaf and mint flavors were perfectly balanced, making it surprisingly refreshing and hard to stop drinking.

DAMDA PICK ⭐
Mint Garden
For food, I would recommend the garlic grilled chicken, but Mint Garden is the one I’d come back for. The balance of sesame leaf and mint was so unique and refreshing that I can’t stop thinking about it.
